1889 in the small Tuscan town of Certaldo: the brothers Luca & Lorenzo Manzini take over their father's business after he passed away. Thanks to craftsmanship and commercial talent their men's underclothes soon became the epitome of quality beyond Italians borders. A year later, Lorenzo had the idea for the first own shirt collection, which he soon sold in Italy, England and France. But an eathquake destroyed the only two Italian yarn factories. In their need, the Manzini's sewed up the only yarn in stock and thus, supplied their customers with snow white shirts with black contrast stitching. The birth of Fil Noir.
