As the name suggests, the roots of UGG are in Australia. In the eastern Byron Bay, surfers warmed up their feet in lambskin boots between surf sessions, before hitting the surf again. In 1978, Brian Smith traveled to southern California with a bag full of sheepskin boots, convinced that the world would share his passion for the snug sheepskin boots and as it turned out, his intuition was just right. Today, the classic talls, classic shorts and bailey buttons are more popular than ever and enjoy a fan base that is spread across the globe.
